The great Italian fashion designer had expressed his desire to see his group join forces with the French luxury giant. The French billionaire isn't saying no.

Bernard Arnault has not ruled out a partnership between his LVMH group and that of the late Giorgio Armani in the future.
Bernard Arnault, CEO of the world's leading luxury group LVMH, said on Friday he was "honored" that his group had been designated by Giorgio Armani in his will as a "player likely to establish a partnership" with the Italian group.
Giorgio Armani, "was a true genius, the only great couturier, along with Christian Dior, who built and led a global brand both in terms of style and industry," said Bernard Arnault in a statement to AFP, stressing that "if we were to work together in the future, LVMH would be keen to further strengthen its presence and leadership throughout the world."
